Amazing Santa Elena zip line, Monteverde
Amazing Santa Elena zip line, Monteverde

What better way to experience the beauty of Costa Rica than from up along the canopies like all the native animals? Zip lining or Canopy Tours as it is often called in Costa Rica is a perfect adventure for humans - but not as easy for frogs like me - because you get to speed through the air high above the treetops! The first time I saw someone on a Superman zip line, I thought it was a large bird flying above! People go whizzing through the sky at high speeds, and get a view of Costa Rica that I'll never get to see.

Some people may be wary of safety, but zip lines have been around since the 1970s. Although you can go the traditional route, where you're sitting down, soaring through the air like Superman is a whole different thrill. Not only is there absolutely nothing blocking your view - which may be a bit terrifying - you'll feel like you're heading in to save the day - or forest!

MidWorld

Near Quepos and Manuel Antonio along the central Pacific Coast, you can experience the longest Superman zip line in Costa Rica! If you're staying in a Costa Rica all inclusive resort nearby, you must not miss this adventure that you'll remember forever. With a little push, you'll quickly be soaring for more than a kilometer- or more than half a mile - you'll go at unbelievable speeds down the side of a mountain offering a bird's eye view of the rainforest below. After you finish, you'll feel like you can conquer the world! Once you're done here, you may want to head to the high ropes puzzle course and the ATV tour where you can venture through the jungle on the ground.

Adventure Park

With a name like "Adventure Park", you can only expect the best. Zip lines here are fixed at different tree heights, and since weather in Costa Rica is always different, you'll never know what to expect! But what you will find here is a cable that allows you to experience the jungle - without having to trot through it - at speeds of up to 45 miles per hour. You'll be so entranced with the breathtaking view from Superman's perspective that this adrenaline rush will be over before you know it. Canopy Finca Daniel is also referred to as "adrenaline station" and is where you'll launch on your trip through the forest!
