Basking in the sun at Bahia del Sol

Guanacaste is the most visited region in Costa Rica, and for good reason! While I spend a lot of my time traveling the country, I always find myself coming back to the province for its warm coastal waters and tranquil beaches. Lush tropical forests hang along the sandy shoreline here, making it the perfect place for both families and couples. If you want to visit Playa Potrero, there's no better Costa Rica hotel to stay in than Bahia del Sol. Located on the second safest beach of Costa Rica, this hotel features everything a traveler may want in a resort. I recently stayed here and loved it so much that I want to share my experience with you!

With Tamarindo and Flamingo beaches within close proximity, Bahia del Sol is the beach goer's dream.

You can go on romantic walks along the shoreline, sit down and enjoy the gorgeous sunset over the Pacific Ocean or just bask in the warm sun. You can even go on a relaxing horseback ride. Are you into something a little more adventurous? No problem! You can go sport fishing, diving, snorkeling, hiking, white water rafting and more! This location offers you the opportunity to explore some of Costa Rica's most beloved attractions, such as Rincon de la Vieja National Park, and Marino Las Baulas National Park.

On-site Activities

One of my favorite parts of Bahia del Sol was the beautiful pool and Jacuzzi. With a sprawling view of the ocean and lush tropical forest, the pool is one of the most relaxing areas of the resort. You can sip in the sunshine or indulge in a cocktail at the swim-up bar. If you want the ultimate Rest & Relaxation experience, head over to the Bahia del Sol Nau Spa! I recommend getting a massage here, and you've got plenty of choices to choose from: the Bahia massage, aromatherapy massage, deep tissue massage, or head, hands and feet massage.

Whether you want to grab a poolside drink or enjoy a romantic dinner by candlelight, Bahia del Sol offers everything from the finest Costa Rican coffee to fresh seafood to light snacks.
